Christmas party with family ~ we miss you, ah yee.

Yesterday was a simple, nice and comforting christmas party for our family and benjamin jiu jiu came to prepare nice food with jie jie jaime. I was so tired, I slept before they all left. We had a nice spread of food, turkey, ham, salad (taco flavoured), pork knuckles, tortillas and mummy didn;t forget me. she cooked beef casserole for me. It took her 5 and a half hours. Thank god it turned out nice.
there was konnayaku, agar agar and cakes for dessert. Mum prepared mango sorbet for me, but i prefered agar agar and helped myself to it. I was allowed a small teeny weeny bit after playing the poor cat.. sigh... so much work to get such a small slice. I was happy with 3 gifts.

Dong Zhi

mummy says it's chinese festival called dong zhi and we have to make dumpling balls.

Look at how we made them... Fun!

It's my mummy's birthday

Saturday was mummy's birthday and so mum and dad brought me to Vivocity to buy me a pair of Crocs. I was unhappy and cranky and just when they surrendered and want to head back, they brought me to the outdoor playground. I wasn;t impressed until I saw water play and I wet myself thoroughly. mummy had to buy me new clothes.. I ended up wearing a Mr Impossible Tee and new cargo pants home.

Look at the pictures:

Javier's down with HFMD ~ Thank goodness it's mild!

I am unwell now. Mummy and daddy brought me out to Orchard Road to look at the beautiful Christmas lights over the weekend and took some lovely photos.
I also went to IKEA to get a high chair for ah ma to confine me when i have my meals. I like this chair tho.
Then on Sunday, mummy saw 3 red dots on my hand, but ah gong and papa say that mummy is too paranoid, so mummy decided that it was ok, so she left it. But on Monday morning, mummy saw a big ulcer in my mouth and checked on the 3 red dots again. I was brought to Dr Chan and she confirmed that I have mild HFMD. So, I am home with mummy and ah ma.

A fun-filled Friday

Today was fun for me though I'm still in the midest of recovering from my flu. Mummy's caught a bigger and stronger flu bug, which my grandma says is an annual event.
Papa took leave today to enjoy a family day with mum and me. So, even though mummy was sick and sleepy, she braced herself so that the day can go on as planned.
Anyway, this was what I did.

Breakfast @ McDonald's

Morning walk in park

Fun water play @ Jacob Ballas

Drinking from the cup ~ all by myself!

This morning, mummy served me bread with my soy milk (cos I had stomach flu and cant take my normal milk) Daddy put it in my sippy cup with a spout and I attempted to take it off. So, mummy gave me a hand and took it off for me.
Then what happens is as follows: I finished all my milk!

Trying to hold the cup and drink ~ mummy says no one holds the cup like I do!

See that contented smile??

I modelled mum and held it right! Appaluse!
I am so smart right?

Being a mum for the past twelve months

As I'm preparing for Javier's 1st birthday, I am also recalling the past 365 days.
This is a poem I want to dedicate to my son. I read it online.

Hey baby boy
You bring me joy
Every time I look at you
All the little things you do
I'm so glad God gave me you
I wake every morning just to look in your eyes
Every single morning I get a different surprise
I pray everyday that God blesses us both
But I pray even more that God blesses you most.
A Baby Poem by Tonya Y. Hiers from Family Friend Poems

Being a mom, to u, my son has been the most wonderful thing I have ever done.
I doubt there's anything more wonderful than this
for you are God's gift to me.

As a mom, I did so much, much more than I've ever done.
I've held ur hand and clean ur poo
At every opportunity I could

Ur precious smile, ur little kiss,
Ur little hand that touches my feet.
They touch my heart like none other.

In this world, in my eyes,
you will always be that little baby.
I will always be here to give support,
i promise you eternal love.
I'll be here when u call.

I pray to God that you will be
A cheerful boy with compassion
A worthy man with integrity
A faithful husband with loyalty
A proud father to enjoy all you've brought us.

Just don't ever forget that you are my child.

My first enrichment class is Kindermusik

Today is 26th October, 2 weeks from my birthday and my mummy has finally found a suitable enrichment class for me. Mummy attended the trial class at KIndermusik with me and enjoyed the music and actions. The theme for this term is Feathers and we were given a bag of goodies to bring back. There's a music CD - all feathers songs and 8 pictures of birds that mummy wants to put on the wall, hoping that I don't tear them down... Hahaha...I was alright until towards the end of the class. As usual, I want to explore beyond the walls of the class and wandered around. Teacher Catilyn was slightly stiff and din dance as much as mummy hoped for. However, no worries, mummy will do some more work with me at home. I was so tired from the singing and dancing that I am still asleep now. That's 1 hour of nap! Well, I'll continue with my sleep and tell u more later.

My first time at Go Go Bambini

Today was a wet day and mummy had finished her final report for her studies. She literally dumped me at grandma's everyday for two days and I only got to see her at night. She was feeling guilty about not spending enough time with me, I guess that made her decide to bring me to Go Go Bambini today, despite the rain.
I had fun with some 6 other babies in the soft play area. I still didn't want to walk though I enjoyed climbing all over the space. The balls were beautiful too. Mummy ordered cheese balls for me to eat, but I always couldn;t wait to join back into the play area.
There was a rude gor gor (big bro) who threw a ball at me purposely and he used quite some force. Mummy gave me a kiss and I was alright again. He was rude, but his maid was not able to make him say sorry and mummy thought it's just impossible, so we continued to have fun instead of worrying about him.
No matter what, I enjoyed myself a lot and mummy promised to bring me to Fidgets next time.
Whee!!! I'm waiting...

Updates of Myself as I turn slightly older than 8 months

Hi there! My mummy has been feeling lethargic these few days as she is taking two classes at work and its taxing her. Mummy is also supposed to write her final document for her studies and its been dragging because I am terribly cute and irresistible. So, whenever mummy tries to do her work, i will be there; cute and asking her to play with me. Poor mummy..

Anyway, time for my updates! My daddy and mummy brought me to swim with my float at Bishan Swimming complex as Auntie Eva was out that Friday. You can see how much I enjoyed myself that day. It was fun having daddy in the water with me, allowing me to 'speed' through the water in my 'boat'.

Also, I have managed to sit unassisted at all, crawling is not really fun for me. so i've decided to try and master the art of standing and walking as soon as I can. I am practically pulling everything I am seeing and standing up. I enjoy falling off too... cos mummy and daddy cushion my falls with the pillows and bolsters and matresses.

Mummy and granny have also let me tried coarser food textures. Mummy says that this will help me work the cheek muscles and then i will start calling her soon. That's her evil plan.

Well, I am still not sleeping through the night as yet. mummy and daddy say that they have gotten used to it and will just wait till i am ready to sleep through now.

As for my weight, I am about 10kg right now.. It;s getting very tough for grandma to carry me nowadays. Thank you, grandma for taking such good care of me!

These couple of days, mummy has been telling me that she feels fat and wants to lose some of the weight she put on after she gave birth to me. Mummy has decided that she will go jogging and use ah yee's yoga package to do some exercises on weekdays when grandma can take care of me.

I am going to have a swim later if the weather is still as sunny as now; and tell u what, tomorrow's even more interesting, I get to go to the beach for the 1st time if it does not rain. Please, please do not rain..

Mummy's also a little upset that daddy is going to Taiwan for a business trip on Monday and can only be back late Sturday; but she keeps telling me that daddy needs to do this so that we can live more comfortably.

Anyway, I'll miss you, daddy. you must take care.

My day at Bishan Park

Yesterday was Sunday and mummy and daddy had intended to bring me out for a swim at Bishan Swimming Complex when the clouds turned stormy. They decided then that it was risky to bring me swimming under such doubt. Poor mummy, she spent a good half an hour blowing up my swim float and all she could do was let me play with it like a bu dao weng. We've shelved the swimming plans but not enough to dampen our spirits to venture outdoors. We went to Bishan Park nearby and had some fun. Look at the photos of me swining so fast, my daddy could not even catch a photo. Mummy was the main person holding onto me as I tried out all the fun games in the playground. Daddy was supposed to be the better photographer. He tried hard enough but I wasn't very cooperative... Cheeky me..

My new law in the car

Me like a king in my new car seat..
Me in my old car seat, so poor thing right?

Mummy and daddy established a new rule for me whenever I am in the car. That is, I am not supposed to be carried when I am in the car. Mummy and Daddy just bought me a new carseat that can follow me through till I turn four yesterday. We went to Baby Hypermart in Shun Li Industrial Park to shop for one, and guess what, my mummy plonked me into every model that she sees. I was so reluctant towards the end that I kept reaching out my hands to be carried. My mummy finally decided on a Maxi Cosi Tobi in Gypsy cloth. Mummy insisted on having gypsy as she thinks the cottony material is the most comfy for my little body. Now, look at me in my car seat? I like it better now cos I can see a lot more things out of the window when I am so high up now...

My mummy and daddy's ROM anniversary

Today is my beloved mummy and daddy's 4th ROM anniversary. My mummy and daddy have been through so many things together and have stuck to each other. They said that I am the best gift that they've got since they've gotten together.
We are going to celebrate their anniversary tomorrow by going out for shopping trip and might go for a swim if weather permits. I love you, mummy and daddy. Happy anniversary!

My first post on my first blog ever

Finally, I have my blog. My mummy has been as busy as a bee for the past seven months of my birth and although I know that deep deep down in her heart she had always wanted to design a blog for me, she's simply too shag to do it. Anyway, now I have one!
Well, quick updates for all the aunties and uncles who've missed me over the past 7 months. I am now a whoppy 10kg big baby and I still cant walk or stand yet. Which means I still need my mummy and daddy to hold me, and I must admit. I truly enjoy it. I just went for my first dip at the pool at Auntie Eva's
condominium on 19th June 08. I was a little scared at first because mummy has neverever brought me to a pool that huge. But, being the dare devil that I am, I conquered the entire pool in a matter of minutes. Mummy was in the pool with me while my granny was teaching me what I could do with the water. Don't you envy me for having two hot babes in the pool with me? hahaha... Mummy is also bringing me for weekly walks at Bishan Park where I get to enjoy the swing... hmm... my mummy and daddy have not taken a single photo of me flying on the swing.. I'll make sure I remind them the next time I go! well, I am really tired now and got to go to my bed now.. See ya n *muacks! got my wet kiss? Love you.
